Ingrid Collins is Chair of the Soul Therapy Association of Spiritual Healers and Co-Director of the Soul Therapy Centre which she founded in 1996.

Merging her career as Chartered Psychologist and therapist with her work as a Registered Spiritual Healer, Ingrid created ‘Soul Therapy’: a unique and highly effective combined approach to facilitating mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing. As an Accredited Consultant and Executive Committee member of the Feng Shui Society Ingrid integrates feng shui into her work as a Soul Therapist as and when appropriate.

Alongside her teaching at the Centre, Ingrid runs a successful private practice at the London Medical Centre in Harley Street where she has helped her clients to enrich the quality of their emotional wellbeing, physical health and personal and working relationships. Ingrid is a member Of the XL Circle, created by Roger Hamilton for people with "eXtraordinary Lives" who do business with integrity and give a percentage of their profits to charity.

As a member of the Parliamentary Group for Integrated and Complementary Health, the Doctor-Healer Network, the World Federation for Mental Health, the Scientific and Medical Network and the Association of Business Psychologists, she promotes and campaigns for cooperation between all the branches of healthcare.

Graduating as a Psychologist from Manchester University in 1965, Ingrid has continued to develop her skills in systemic psychotherapy. She spent many years studying with Peter Lang and his team at The Kensington Consultation Centre, and with Gianfranco Cecchin and Luigi Boscolo of the Milan School of Family Therapy. She holds a Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Training awarded by The Centre For Stress Management in 2006. She is often consulted as an expert Psychology witness by the legal profession for medico-legal opinions and reports to Court.

To complement her development as a psychologist, Ingrid continuously explores complementary health systems and new ideas in physical and mental health, and has trained with groundbreaking healers and thinkers, whose approaches she applies in therapy and her teaching. These include:

  • Robert Holden and Dr Patch Adams, from the Happiness Project and The Gesundheit Institute
  • Dr Bernie Siegel, the celebrated oncologist, pioneer of mind/body medicine and founder of ECaP (Exceptional Cancer Patients) Groups
  • Amelia Kinkade, the leading American psychic and author celebrated for her animal communication work
  • Paul H Smith, US Major and author of "The Most Secret Agent" and "Reading the Enemy's Mind - Inside Star Gate, America's Psychic Espionage Program", who trained the CIA's psychic spies in the technique of Remote Viewing.

Ingrid is continuously engaged in current research and has presented conference papers, seminars and workshops at The World Federation of Mental Health, The British Psychological Society, The Feng Shui Society, The Royal Society of Medicine and The Scientific and Medical Network. She has designed and delivered courses on Children With Special Educational Needs for the University of North London and set up the Educational Management Unit for the Kensington Consultation Centre, a training clinic for systemic psychotherapists and management consultants. She consults to companies and supports staff groups through significant times of stress or change, as well as offering sessions to individuals, couples and families.

Ingrid is a poet, prolific writer and broadcaster on both radio and TV on a wide spectrum of psychology, spiritual healing, feng shui, integrated and complementary healthcare issues. She was Contributing Editor and spiritual healing consultant on the Advisory Board of “Here’s Health” Magazine for whom she wrote a regular page. She has worked with the comedian Tim Vine on his one man show at the Edinburgh Festival, and with Tate Modern on their audio presentation for their permanent exhibition of the art of Cindy Sherman. Her work has been featured in the Living TV documentary about Harley Street consultants and also on prime time BBC2’s documentary series: “Private Life of Harley Street” to which there was an enthusiastic response. Her favourite broadcast was for the celebrated veteran BBC producer of classic comedy programmes, Ian Guardhouse, in which she featured along with Morecambe & Wise, The Goons, George Melly & Stanley Unwin on Stephen Fry’s “The Joy Of Gibberish” on BBC Radio 4. She also featured on ITV1 in Granada TV's series "Have I Been Here Before?", an exploration of the phenomenon of Past Life Regression.

Her 2003 book, 'A Year Of Spirituality', ISBN: 1-84072-331-9 received glowing endorsements from Dr Bernie Siegel and Amelia Kinkade. It was published by MQP in the UK and Andrews McMeel in the USA. She has been invited by Amelia Kinkade to write a chapter in her next book and she is also working on a commission to write a feature film script on a spiritual topic. Her 2009 poetry anthology, 'Eternal Sparrow', is published by Strategic Book Publishers, New York, ISBN: 978-1-60860-535-4. See Eternal Sparrow: Amazon.co.uk: Ingrid Collins: Books.
